Professional Experience: Legal Advisor to the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Panama, year 1990-1994. Accredited ARBITRATOR and Secretary of the Center of Conciliation and Arbitration of Panama, of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Panama (CECAP), Advisor for ICSID Arbitrations, ICC Arbitrations, UNCITRAL and for CAPAC (Panamanian Chamber of Construction) Arbitrations. Former Member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, for five years, Mr. Lopez represented The Republic of Panama. He has been designated by Panama to the Panels of Conciliators and of Arbitrators pursuant to Articles 12-16 of the ICSID Convention.
Mr. Lopez specializes in arbitration and has extensive experience in national and international comercial arbitration. He has acted as chair, co-arbitrator and counsel in international comercial arbiration under ICC, UNCITRAL Rules and in investment arbitration under ICSID.
